New disability employment service provider in the Hastings

People with a disability seeking employment in the Hastings have a new service provider to help them find work.

Enterprise and Training Company (ETC) is now delivering disability employment services, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, in Port Macquarie and Wauchope.

ETC’s Area Manager for Hastings Leeanne Stewart said ETC was excited to be building on its existing business advisory and training services in the region with the delivery of the new DES contract.

“ETC has been delivering employment, training and business support services in the Mid North Coast for the past 25 years and we are very excited to be offering this specialised service in the Hastings,” Ms Stewart said.

“We have a proven track record in the Mid North Coast having helped more than 54,500 people find jobs over the past 25 years and trained more than 27,000 people.”

Ms Stewart said that not only would job seekers benefit from the service, but local employers would also receive support.

“There are wage incentives and assistance with workplace modifications available for employers, as well as on going support,” said Ms Stewart.

“People with a disability will benefit from ETC’s strong ties with major employers in the region. We can help create and shape jobs suited to their skills and abilities, organise any training required and support them once they’re in a job.”

Ms Stewart said ETC’s disability employment services are being delivered from the ETC office in Port Macquarie (133-137 Gordon Street) and the Wauchope office is co-located with Wesley Employment and Training in Wauchope (1/80 High Street).
