Bananacoast Hot Bake has been announced as the Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC) Employer of the Month.
Bakery owner, Sharon Scipione said she always uses the free recruitment services of Jobs Services Australia (JSA) providers such as ETC to fill her vacancies.
“I have no reason to go anywhere else,” Ms Scipione said.
“I’ve just hired three people through ETC that I will certainly find permanent positions for because I have been so impressed by them.”
ETC’s Employment Services Manager Troy Herbert said there were many benefits for employers who use JSA providers to fill their vacancy needs.
“We can take the time and hassle out of recruiting staff,” Mr Herbert said.
“We advertise and then carefully screen the candidates to ensure they match the employer’s needs and we can also organise the interviews.
“The best news is our services are free and we can also offer incentives to employers to help with the costs associated with putting on new staff, which can include: wage subsidies, support with training and assistance with licenses and tickets.”
Ms Scipione said she was excited to be announced ETC’s Employer of the Month and encouraged other small business owners to consider using JSA providers to help them find staff.
“You need to tell your employment provider exactly what you’re looking for. That’s the best place to start,” Ms Scipione said.
“As a small business owner we all appreciate government incentives when hiring staff but it’s more important to find the person who is the right fit.
“I like not having to wade through resumes and I trust that ETC are not going to send me people that I don’t want.”
