ETC Announces Elements of Byron as Employer of the Month

Elements of Byron has been announced as the Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC) Employer of the Month.

The new resort and spa officially opened its doors last month creating a large volume of jobs for the region and bringing a wave of tourists from all around the country.

Elements General Manager Leon Pink said they were thrilled to receive the recognition.

“During the construction phase, Elements created around 250 full time roles for local labourers, electricians and plumbers. Now in its operational phase with over 100 full time employees, approximately 65% are local jobseekers who have been employed in various areas such as front office, food and beverage, beauty services and housekeeping,” Mr Pink said.

“We were lucky to have partnered with ETC to assist with the recruitment and training of our staff as this was such a massive task.”

“I’d also like to acknowledge our staff who have worked tirelessly through these initial opening weeks. They have done a fantastic job.”

ETC Business Relationship Manager Abby Stevens said the Byron Bay ETC team had worked closely with local jobseekers in the months leading up to the new resort opening.

“Elements kindly provided one of their local venues, the Sun Bistro, in the lead up to the opening. This gave local jobseekers valuable insight into what it’s like working in the industry as part of ETC’s pre-employment training,” Ms Stevens said.

“We were thrilled that 21 of our clients were successful in obtaining employment. They are pumped and so excited to be working at a venue of this calibre.”
