Port Macquarie’s destination resort Sails by Rydges has been awarded as the ETC Employer of the Month.
A recent multi-million-dollar refurbishment has seen the company increase its staffing level by almost 50%.
General Manager Nick McLaughlin said the addition of new rooms, a brand new restaurant and bar, and a brand new event space seating 300 guests had opened up a variety of career opportunities.
“Food/Beverage and Housekeeping are the main areas where we’ve had the growth – it’s been a great opportunity for local job seekers,” Mr McLaughlin said.
According to Mr McLaughlin the Resort provided many benefits for its workers.
“Well for one – it’s a stunning location. But what we also like to do with our staff is identify those star performers who put their heart and soul into the business and reward them. Doing this seems to bring everyone’s performance up as well,” he said.
