ETC has donated equipment to Mid Coast Outreach (MCO) to help support locals affected by disaster.
MCO President Sharon Chamberlain said her organisation had been servicing the community from her home office with limited resources and space.
“We have recently secured a premises in Wingham to enable our customers to access our facilities in person, but needed some additional equipment to help with the fit out,” Ms Chamberlain said.
“We really appreciated when ETC offered to donate some of their computers, desks, filing cabinet and printer – this will help immensely in the day to day operations of our service.”
According to Ms Chamberlain, MCO was a free service helping with the recovery for rural families and individuals suffering the effects of bushfires, drought, flood, COVID-19 and any significant incident in the community.
“We provide food, welfare checks, goods, education, referrals, counselling and help in a confidential and supportive environment,” Ms Chamberlain said.
The new Mid Coast Outreach office is now open to the public at Lot 20 Wynter Street, Wingham.
If you need to access these services, you can reach out to the MCO team on 0400 372 767 or follow their Facebook page.
ETC CEO Jenny Barnett said the not-for-profit company was thrilled to have the opportunity to assist the Mid Coast community over and above its existing service delivery.
“ETC helps many local people through our employment and training services, so it’s fantastic to support another organisation who aligns closely with our vision and mission,” Mrs Barnett said.
