ETC has been named a finalist in the NSW Training Awards – Small Training Provider of the Year.

ETC’s CEO Michael Close said making it to the final three for the state-wide awards was a huge accomplishment for the company’s training team.

“I’m thrilled for the ETC training team who have worked hard to deliver nationally accredited training in the areas of Community Services (Aged Care), Hospitality, Business, Retail, Training & Assessment and Sawmilling, as well as a range of short courses such as First Aid, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling,” Mr Close said.

“Led by Daniel Becker, the training team have delivered training courses to close to 1,500 people over the past 12 months, from our training centres based in Sydney, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

“I’m proud to say the team has embraced and adapted to the growing demand from clients to undertake training courses online and has performed very well despite the fact there has been less government subsidisation of training over the past year.”

Mr Close acknowledged the support of the small business community, employers and individuals who utilised ETC’s training services.

“As a not-for-profit, community organisation, ETC is excited to be in a position to support the up-skilling and professional development needs of people and we thank you for choosing to undertake training with us,” Mr Close said.

“ETC has been delivering training, employment and business advisory services for 24 years and it’s wonderful to be recognised for our efforts.”

The winner of the NSW Training Awards will be announced on 5 September 2013.
