As your local Workforce Australia employment services provider, Disability Employment Services provider and Workforce Australia – Transition to Work program provider, we are committed to finding you work. When you begin your job search with ETC you’ll be able to access a number of valuable resources. These include job search and interview techniques, Job Skills Training and information about the local labour market. Your greatest resource though is you. And that’s where the team at ETC can really help. We’ll get to know you, talk to you about your interests, strengths, goals and areas that perhaps you can improve on. Together we’ll work on a job plan that sets out how you are going to achieve your goals. It’s a dynamic process that requires full participation to be most effective. So think about what you want in the future and we’ll help you get there.

1. Getting to know you

We start by getting to know you through a one-on-one meeting and participating in our joblab™. This way, we can find out what you are good at and the types of jobs you are interested in. We set goals and find out what assistance is available to you.

2. Polishing your job skills

With ETC’s Joblab training, we will polish your existing job skills to ensure you receive every opportunity to win and keep the job that suits you. We help you with:

Resume writing
Job application preparation
Interview skills and techniques
Identifying jobs that suit you
Digital job search skills

3. Identifying your goals and available options

Based on your goals and your job plan, there are several options available to help you secure meaningful employment. These include:

Information sessions with local employers and ETC’s Recruitment team to provide information about local opportunities and work requirements
Pre-employment training programs as an industry taster through our WorkIT Skill-Set courses
Flexible work experience arrangements through ETC’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO 6998)
Retrain by completing a nationally recognised qualification in a specific industry
ETC’s jLink app where you can view jobs we have sourced from employers in your local area, upload information for your Job Advisor and access a national community services portal
Our Triple E email newsletters, which will send you a daily list of local jobs in your area, plus some helpful tips and good news stories

4. Post-placement support

After winning your job, we contact you regularly to make sure you have everything you need and if we can help you further.
