Live Love Coffs
If you love living in Coffs Harbour and want to explore how we can grow the city through localisation and love of our city then you need to attend two upcoming events organised by Coffs Harbour City Council, featuring Peter Kageyama.

Peter is an internationally recognised expert on community development and grassroots engagement.

He is the author of ‘For the Love of Cities’ which explores in detail the value of emotional engagement with our cities, the role of place-making and how this contributes to Sense of Place.

Free community workshop – Saturday 19 July 2014
To be held at the Coffs Harbour Showground from 10am – 3pm this free half-day community workshop will be highly interactive and fun with a focus on discussing what we love about our City.

The workshop will also look at how we can increase our emotional engagement, to think creatively about what we can do to increase the love we have for Coffs Harbour, and how we can take ownership and responsibility for making this a great community.
If you are a doer in our community, one of our co-creators, a person with a passion, or someone who loves the place we live in, Council wants you at this workshop!

The $500 Project
At the end of the workshop there will be a brainstorming session focused on creating a project that will make our City a better, more lovable place. Workshop participants will vote on the developed concepts to secure $500 to fund a winning project. Champions for the project will be identified to move the project forward.
