ETC’s Social Media Roadshow hits the road in February and will cover five towns across the Mid North Coast – Dorrigo, Kempsey, Bellingen, Port Macquarie and Urunga.
The roadshow has been developed in response to requests from these local business communities and will focus on delivering practical hands-on assistance to small business operators to help them master the skills to embrace the digital age.
The traditional avenues to market are changing and over the past decade we have seen the phenomenal rise of social media, in particular Facebook and Instagram, as the marketing medium of choice.
According to Sensis , 50% of Australian consumers access social media daily. A massive 62% of the Australian population now have a Facebook account. Not to mention the incredible rise of Instagram. Founded in just 2010, Instagram continues to experience major growth across all demographic groups, both here and across the globe.
The roadshow workshops aims to ensure business people understand social media techniques to maximise their posts on Instagram and Facebook, how the two media interrelate and the importance of content and images in attracting and growing their target market. Workshop participants will already have their Facebook and Instagram business accounts set up and it is then a matter of guiding them through the practical steps so they feel comfortable with content, posting and boosting posts to reach and grow their market.
ETC Business Services Manager Kevin Riddell, said the roadshow was timely and developed in direct response to local business operator needs.
“We are out in the business community daily and operators are realising the need to master these new skills. Our trainers will provide hands on assistance so workshop participants feel comfortable with each step. In addition, ETC advisors are available for follow up support something that many other programs do not offer,” Mr Riddell said.
Venues and dates are as follows:
All workshops will commence at 9.30am and will finish at 1pm.
The cost of the workshop is $79 per person and includes morning tea.
