The Certificate 3 Guarantee provides Queenslanders with access to Government subsidised training by supporting eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III level qualification and increase their skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance their career.

Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee, the Queensland Government provides a subsidy for a range of priority certificate III level qualifications that reduces the cost of the Certificate III course for the student.

To be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee a participant must:

  • not hold or be already undertaking a certificate III or higher level qualification (certificate III qualifications completed at school are not counted)
  • be 15 years of age or older
  • have finished secondary school or left school

Concessional Participants are defined as follows:

Please note

The entitlement under Certificate 3 Guarantee is for one Government subsidised Certificate III qualification and that you will no longer be eligible for a subsidised training place under the Certificate 3 Guarantee once you have completed a certificate III level qualification. Please ensure that you consider your training options, outcomes and costs under the program before committing to a course of study which utilises your entitlement under the initiative.

The Student contribution fee amount applies to all students completing a subsidised certificate III qualification under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program and that the Student Contribution Fee’s represent the total non-government subsidised sum of essential training costs for you to complete the qualification and all fees and costs associated with delivering the training.
