MEDIA RELEASE: ETC is an Inclusive Employment Australia provider across two regions

ETC is proud to announce our successful tender to deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia program, a transformative initiative designed to support Australians with disability, injury, or health conditions in achieving meaningful employment. Commencing on 1st November 2025, this five-year program marks a new chapter in ETC’s commitment to inclusive employment across regional communities.

Replacing the former Disability Employment Services (DES) program, Inclusive Employment Australia places participants at the heart of service delivery. The program offers personalised support to help individuals prepare for, find, and maintain employment, while also fostering long-term career growth. Importantly, Inclusive Employment Australia is designed to be flexible and inclusive – participants can engage even if they work only a few hours per week, and eligibility is not tied to receiving government payments.

New Era for Disability Employment

ETC CEO Damon Munt shared his enthusiasm for the program:

“The opportunity for ETC to deliver tailored support through the Inclusive Employment Australia program is a meaningful step forward in our ongoing commitment to helping people in our communities overcome health barriers to find sustainable, fulfilling employment.”

ETC will deliver IEA services across key regions in New South Wales and Queensland, including:

  • Bundaberg, QLD
  • Tweed Heads, NSW
  • Murwillumbah, NSW

Outreach services will also be available by appointment in:

  • Childers, QLD
  • Gin Gin, QLD
  • Kingscliff, NSW

Appointments are held at accessible community venues and arranged locally to suit individual needs.

Support for Employers

Inclusive Employment Australia isn’t just about supporting job seekers – it’s also about empowering employers. ETC will work closely with businesses to:

  • Identify staffing needs
  • Match suitable candidates
  • Facilitate workplace adjustments and job customisation
  • Support retention of employees with disability

Employers may also be eligible for a wage subsidy of up to $10,000 per supported participant who achieves sustainable employment.

ETC’s Legacy of Community Impact

Since 1989, ETC has helped more than 113,000 people find work, supported 54,000 students in training, and assisted 43,000 small businesses. Through our Community Support Fund, ETC has contributed over $2.5 million to local organisations.

ETC Program Manager David Cameron added:

“We are very excited to move forward with the new Inclusive Employment Australia program to support our participants into sustainable employment and to continue our connection and engagement with our local communities.”
