ETC Community Support Fund The Lovewell Foundation

How Lovewell Foundation women’s business support creates pathways to independence

ETC has proudly partnered with the Lovewell Foundation providing a $15,000 grant through the ETC Community Support Fund. The Lovewell Foundation focus on supporting women through employment training providing pathways to employment and self-employment. This grant helps women overcome barriers to employment and entrepreneurship. Lovewell Foundation women’s business support is crucial for empowering women.

Supporting women to rebuild and thrive

Lovewell Foundation, based in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane, offers holistic business support for women facing complex challenges. From its Sunflower Place hub, the organisation works with counselors, social workers, and local businesses. They aim to remove barriers to employment.

Lovewell offers tailored programs that provide employment training, training support, and mentorship for female entrepreneurs, creating clear employment pathways and opportunities for small business loans.

These initiatives reflect Lovewell’s mission of empowering women through business mentorship and helping them achieve their business goals through the Lovewell Foundation’s women’s business support programs.

The funding from ETC helps Lovewell’s micro-loan model. It gives women access to small business loans, training support, and ongoing mentorship for female entrepreneurs. These resources help participants overcome barriers to employment, launch their own enterprises, and achieve long-term business goals. This initiative truly reflects the mission of Lovewell Foundation women’s business support, empowering women through business mentorship and creating sustainable employment pathways.

Executive Director Annie Stonehouse shared how Lovewell tailors its support:

“When women come to us to rebuild their lives, we will offer them pathways in employment training or entrepreneurship. Some join our café team, others are placed into jobs within the community. No matter the path, we continue to support them as they work towards independence.”

Empowering women in Brisbane through micro-loans and mentorship

One program participant described how the support has helped her pursue her business goals:

“Connecting with other local entrepreneurs and sole traders, and having that extra support, like a business mentor who checks in and reminds you that you’re on the right track, has made a real difference.” By benefiting from Lovewell Foundation women’s business support, she made substantial progress in her journey.

ETC Business Advisor Dean Munro echoed this sentiment:

“Lovewell are truly helping people who are in desperate need. I wanted to get involved and support an organisation that is genuinely making a difference.” His involvement further demonstrates the success of the Lovewell Foundation’s support for women’s business growth.

A shared vision for community empowerment

ETC Board Director Amanda Mather expressed pride in the partnership:

“We are extremely proud to partner with the Lovewell Foundation, an organisation making a significant impact on people across the region. This partnership directly aligns with our vision of making a positive difference in people’s lives and building meaningful connections across diverse communities.” Their combined efforts exemplify Lovewell Foundation women’s business support in action.
