Saffron Mathot is a young First Year Apprentice Chef who had to put her new career on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
To help keep her motivated, Saffron’s Youth Advisor at ETC assigned a weekly task for her to do – “Cooking with Me”.
Each week Saffron has to create her own recipe cards, cook the meals, take photos and send them through.
Below you can download Saffron’s recipes and see some of her culinary work, plus read a short Q&A we had with her.
“My family – they love it and say that I should be cooking all the time haha”
“I’ve always loved cooking, so it’s definitely been a career goal for me”
“I’d like to travel around a bit and then come back home to start my own restaurant with my own flair”
“Doing as much as I can in the kitchen, reading through recipe books, seeing how I can tweak things and watching heaps of cooking shows”
“Really good, super helpful. They’re keeping me accountable. I wasn’t really doing too much before Sam came up with the idea for the Cooking with Me sessions”
