Lisa Ellem has been named a Vocational Student of the Year finalist in the 2019 North Coast & Mid North Coast Training Awards.
ETC’s Trainer & Business Coach Kim-Trieste Hastings said this was a huge accomplishment for Lisa.
“The ETC Training team are very proud of Lisa as one of our students who completed a Certificate III in Micro Business Operations,” Ms Hastings said.
“As a result of this training, Lisa has now been able to start up her own business providing innovative education solutions – BAM Community Pty Ltd. Lisa then continued her studies with ETC to increase her skills and knowledge further with the Certificate IV in New Small Business.”
According to Lisa, both courses had taught her to be a businesswoman with increased confidence and reliable systems together with an understanding of financial, ethical and professional responsibilities.
“This has opened up some great opportunities for me and I believe I have grown emotionally and intellectually in business with this VET Sector program. When my business becomes an international enterprise that is engaged in providing education, co-housing and charity contributions I will be thanking the VET Sector and ETC for supporting my journey,” Lisa said.
ETC General Manager Training Karen Busby said that ETC was proud to provide students with the support needed so they could start-up their own business.
“Whether you just want to explore the idea of being your own boss or whether you’re ready to take the plunge – we have a range of programs, workshops and nationally recognised qualifications available,” Ms Busby said.
The 2019 North Coast & Mid North Coast Training Awards will be held on the 14th of June at Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour and is sponsored by ETC. The winners from this event will go onto the NSW Training Awards (State based event).
