This “Skilling Queenslanders for Work” program offers customers the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support with additional activities to prepare them for work in the Disability Support and/or Aged Care industries. The course will enable students to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability, or other reasons.
Throughout the course, students will develop a range of factual, technical, and theoretical knowledge related to individual support. Additional activities include non-accredited training in manual handling and dementia care, a Resilience program and individual mentor support.
On completion, the customer will receive a certificate and Statement of Attainment in CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support.
