One of the highest regarded meat processors in Australia, Bindaree Food Group has been announced as the ETC Employer of the Month.
Bindaree Food Group has been operating in Inverell, Northern NSW, for the past 5 years and recently sourced a new processing plant in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast to further grow the business.
According to Bindaree Food Group HR Manager Maureen Gimpel, the new facility opened just 4 months ago and has already created 135 jobs for the region.
“This has been a tremendous start-up venture bringing together so many new people and encouraging them to work as a team,” Ms Gimpel said.
“The majority of our new employees have been engaged on a permanent basis and our goal over the next year is to have at least 90% permanent, with some casual employees available on call.
“We’ve seen some of our new staff move into team leader roles already, as we continue to grow the business.”
Bindaree Food Group Plant Manager Steve Dennie said he was impressed with the new staff who were recruited through ETC because they were displaying passion and positive attitudes.
“We can see they want to grow themselves and are committed to working with our company and as part of a team,” Mr Dennie said.
“They have embraced what we’re trying to build in this culture.”
Ms Gimpel and Mr Dennie thanked ETC for their support during this mammoth recruitment phase.
“To achieve what we have in a short period of time has been much more manageable and successful as a result of our partnership with local jobactive provider ETC,” Ms Gimpel said.
“The commitment they’ve shown to our business and the quality of people they’ve been referring is extraordinary.
“ETC have provided assistance with resume screening, interviewing, inductions and ongoing support for our employees.”
