ETC Announces Byron at Byron as Employer of the Month

Renowned Resort Byron at Byron has been announced as the ETC Employer of the Month for February.

HR Manager Katrina Greenhalgh said she was thrilled with achieving the award.

“Thank you very much. We have also won many other awards and can attribute this to our 180 wonderful staff,” Mrs Greenhalgh said.

Other awards and titles won by the resort include being named the 2016 Finalist in the World Luxury Spa Awards, 2016 Most Popular Babymoon Destination, 2016 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence and Hall of Fame Award (for winning 5 years in a row), and was named as one of Australia’s Most Luxurious Spas by Gourmet Traveller at their 2015 Australian Hotel Guide Awards.

“We pride ourselves on having great staff. When we are hiring, we look for positive attitudes, enthusiasm and commitment. We can provide hospitality training if they need it, but having the right attitude is what makes all the difference – particularly to our guests,” Mrs Greenhalgh said.

“The Byron at Byron aims to provide a positive culture around the resort for our staff, providing training and acknowledging our hard workers.”

Housekeeper Rainer Congdon praised her employer for the recognition from ETC.

“They treat us like friends here. Management are very kind and compassionate to our needs. Also when you finish the day there are Zooper Doopers in the freezer waiting for us, which is really nice,” Rainer said.

Mrs Greenhalgh thanked ETC for making her recruitment experience much easier.

“So far we have hired 7 staff through ETC. We’ve had a really good experience and look forward to continuing working with them,” she said.
