ETC Announces Cricks at Tweed as Employer of the Month

Car dealership Cricks based at Tweed Heads has been announced as the Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC) Employer of the Month.

Dealer Principal Jamie Wass said he was ecstatic to receive the award.

“It’s fantastic to be recognised. Our dealership prides itself on the tenure of its employees and strives to continually support and engage staff development throughout their career,” Mr Wass said.

“We are a very family orientated business. Cricks employs thirty local people and therefore look after thirty local families in the community.”

Mr Wass said the auto dealership actively supported the local community, charities and sporting clubs.

“We recently sponsored the Tweed Coast Women’s Awards which was a fantastic initiative,” he said.

According to Mr Wass Cricks offered excellent opportunities for students, graduates and apprentices.

“We have just hired an Apprentice Mechanic Jacob after our existing apprentice had been promoted. Once Jacob moves forward there will be room again for another apprentice to kick start their career,” Mr Wass said.

“When we are looking for new staff for our workshop we use jobactive provider ETC because they do the screening for us which helps us out a lot.”

Nineteen year old Jacob Stuart said he was grateful for his new job and thanked ETC and Cricks for the opportunity.

“It’s exciting to think I have something like this set up for my future. This is something I have wanted to do for quite a while so I am very happy to be here,” Jacob said.

“My friends and family are very proud and happy for me getting this apprenticeship.”
