The Enterprise and Training Company (ETC) Board have appointed well-respected and long serving employee Jenny Barnett as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Ms Barnett has been with the company for 12 years serving in managerial roles and more recently overseeing ETC’s largest contract in Employment Services.

ETC Chairman Rod McKelvey said that in recent times Jenny was filling in as Acting CEO and had done a tremendous job in that role.

“Jenny has led the ETC team to the incredible position we find ourselves in today as a major player in Employment Services industry.

“ETC recently secured contracts with the Department of Employment which will see the company triple in size over the next two months.

“The ETC Board is confident that the organisation is in good hands with Jenny leading its expansion into new regions, including the North Coast and Gold Coast.”

ETC CEO Jenny Barnett said that she was proud to be given the opportunity to lead the organisation through this substantial growth phase.

“This is the largest growth we have ever experienced and this is a very exciting time for ETC,” Ms Barnett said.

“I am looking forward to our expansion but even more excited to see ETC grow from a very small regional provider into an organisation that has successfully penetrated the metropolitan market.”

Ms Barnett said that ETC would be expanding from its 8 existing employment services sites to 35 in total located between Bulahdelah in the south and Yatala in the north.

“Currently ranked as the 2nd highest performing provider in the country, this contract offer is a great reflection on the amazing people we have working for us and their consistently high performance. It’s also a credit to our many business partners in the community,” Ms Barnett said.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the local communities that we work in for supporting our organisation. We look forward to continuing to provide our existing communities with Employment, Training and Business support.”
