Responsible gambling services (RCG, also known as RSG) must be provided wherever gambling activities are undertaken. In the hospitality industry, the gambling environment is usually referred to as the gaming area and is provided in a range of venues such as hotels, motels, clubs, pubs and casinos.
The responsible provision of gambling services is an essential underpinning skill for all hospitality personnel involved in the sale and service of gambling activities in licensed premises.
NSW competency cards are valid for 5 years. Refresher courses for NSW RSA and RCG are to be completed online through the Liquor and Gaming Dept. ETC does not offer refresher courses for RSA and RCG.
QLD RCG certificates do not expire. However, if you completed RCG training prior to 30 June 2013, your RCG certificate will expire 3 years from the date of issue.
Learners will receive feedback after each assessment/assignment and the trainer/assessor will be available to discuss the feedback or provide additional assistance or direction as appropriate. Trainers/assessors are also available by email/phone for any discussion or problems that students experience during their study.
