We are proud to release ETC’s annual 2023/2024 statistics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander outcomes!

During the 2023-2024 financial year, ETC saw some strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander outcomes.

We are proud to share these statistics, and to promote our commitment to reconciliation throughout our services and the ways we engage with the community.

ETC has a strong reputation of investing in programs which have seen positive training and employment outcomes for First Nations people. This investment not only has a positive impact on our customers, but it’s also a way we can support our local communities.

As a leading provider of employment, training and business services, ETC has many existing and sustainable relationships with peak Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander service providers like Local Aboriginal Land Councils, Local Aboriginal Interagency Groups and Aboriginal Medical Services.

Through our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we wish to contribute to creating a fairer and more equitable society in our regions of operation and support the resolution of Reconciliation Australia and the Australian Government to contribute to “Closing the Gap” – particularly in our core business areas of employment, training, and business growth.

ETC’s Indigenous Services Team is dedicated to empowering Indigenous communities through sustained support and engagement, paving the way for a future where cultural diversity is not only recognised but celebrated as a pillar of our society’s strength.

Below are some highlighted outcomes over the past 12 months:

  • 879 job seekers placed into work
  • 170 job seekers commencing into ETC training courses
  • 25 Aboriginal owned or operated businesses supported
  • 24 First Nations staff employed at ETC
