Small businesses in Corrimal are the focus of Energise Corrimal Week which runs from 11-15 August 2014.
Enterprise & Training Company Limited (ETC), the providers of the NSW Government’s Small Biz Connect program in the Illawarra are offering more than $15,000 worth of free business advice, mentoring and training as part of Energise Corrimal Week.
ETC’s Illawarra Business Coordinator Annelies Vorrthuis said the purpose of Energise Corrimal Week was to empower small businesses through sustainable economic change.
“We want to help small business operators in Corrimal grow their business by improving their performance, profitability and productivity,” Ms Voorthuis said.
“During Energise Corrimal Week our team of experienced business consultants will be delivering workshops, offering free business health checks and raising awareness generally about the business support services available to small businesses in the Illawarra.”
Member for Keira, Ryan Park said small businesses in Corrimal were always trying to be innovative and creative in attracting customers and hoped that this project would give them further insight in how they might be able to grow their business.
“Corrimal is a suburb that has many great small business operators who are keen to attract new customers and this project will go some way to helping them achieve greater business awareness,” Mr Park said.
“I want to see Corrimal continue to grow and become a thriving hub. I encourage all local small businesses to be involved in this great project.”
Mr Park will officially launch Energise Corrimal Week at Shop Number 8 at 10.30am on Monday 11 August at Corrimal Park Mall.
