At ETC, we believe in the power of community. Our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond business operations, and we take pride in supporting local organisations that share our vision.
One such remarkable partner is Got Your Back Sista, an organisation dedicated to providing relief and support to women and children escaping domestic violence in the Hunter region.
Got Your Back Sista is more than just a charity; it’s a lifeline for those facing unimaginable challenges.
Operating in Newcastle, this incredible organisation offers a beacon of hope to women and children who are at risk of living below the poverty line due to domestic violence.
Their mission is clear: empower, uplift, and create pathways to a brighter future.
This feeds directly into ETC’s goals of breaking down barriers to employment in our communities.
As a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity, ETC is deeply committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate.
Through the ETC Community Support Fund (CSF), we’ve now provided over $2 million to worthwhile community organisations since 2012, including $1 million in the past two years alone.
Our focus? Addressing the greatest needs in our communities related to employment, skills development, and/or overcoming barriers to work.
In 2023, we were able to provide $500,000 in funding to 16 deserving organisations across our 9 regions. One of these deserving organisations was Got Your Back Sista.
We were able to assist with $20,000, which has allowed the delivery of a 16-week program, in collaboration with Hamilton TAFE and Atwea College.
The program is specifically designed for 10-12 women, focusing on:
We’re proud to report that so far out of the eight participants, four have gained employment and two have continue to do further study at TAFE!
Our Community Support Fund catchphrase says it all: “In community, With community, For community.”
We’re proud to stand alongside organisations like Got Your Back Sista, working together to help woman thrive after trauma and create lasting impact.
By investing in education, empowerment, and practical support, we’re building stronger communities—one life at a time.
