MEDIA RELEASE

ETC will soon be able to support more mature age job seekers after securing Career Transition Assistance (CTA) contracts in five new regions

In a bid to increase the employability skills of mature age job seekers, ETC is thrilled to announce that we have secured new Workforce Australia – Career Transition Assistance (CTA) contracts with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment in the Hunter, New England North West, Brisbane South East, Somerset and Wivenhoe Employment Regions. We will also continue to service the CTA contract across our existing regions of the NSW Mid North Coast and North Coast.

The CTA Program is designed to help mature aged job seekers 45+ build their skills and confidence to become more competitive in the job market.

It offers personalised career assistance to help participants prepare their Resume, job applications and cover letters based on their skills, strengths and experiences.

CTA also aims to increase motivation and resilience when looking for work.

We have already helped 138 mature age job seekers into work thanks to the CTA Program, and look forward to helping participants in our new regions achieve their employment goals too.

ETC’s CEO Jenny Barnett said the company was excited to expand business into new communities and having a positive impact on even more peoples’ lives.

“ETC has been helping people secure pathways into training, education and employment for more than 30 years,” Mrs Barnett said.

“We look forward to opening offices in Armidale, Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Caboolture, Capalaba, Charlestown, Cessnock, Chermside, Deception Bay, Inverell, Ipswich, Glen Innes, Goodna, Kippa Ring, Logan Central, Maitland, Mayfield, Mitchelton, Newcastle, Nundah, Raymond Terrance, Richlands, Springfield Central, Stones Corner, Strathpine, Tamworth, Upper Mount Gravatt and Wynnum.”

At ETC, we understand that adults come with real-life experiences. Therefore, our focus is to empower individuals to grow and develop through our interactive and supportive career transition services.

Mrs Barnett said ETC’s approach to working with mature age job seekers was based on creating an environment where they feel connected, supported and empowered.

This environment enables participants to feel comfortable and share experiences with one another, while engaging in learning and building self-belief.

ETC will commence delivery of the  CTA Program in new Employment Regions from 1 July 2022.
