ETC has expanded its operations in Taree officially opening its new premises in Albert Street today.

ETC CEO Jenny Barnett said ETC was excited to be offering a full suite of services in the Manning Valley region including employment services, training and business advisory services.

“ETC has been helping businesses in the Mid North Coast grow for the past 26 years and we ourselves are excited to be expanding our presence in Taree through the delivery of the Australian Government’s jobactive program,” Mrs Barnett said.

ETC’s General Manager of Employment Services Damon Munt said ETC was now serving more than 1200 job seekers in the Manning and Great Lakes regions.

“We are committed to helping local unemployed people find meaningful and sustainable employment,” Mr Munt said.

“Having the right mix of staff is key to business success and ETC works hard to ensure we fully understand the needs of local employers before recommending suitable candidates to fill their vacancies.

“We take the hassle out of recruitment by providing employers with a shortlist of candidates that meet their specific needs and also assist with the interview process and undertake reference checks.

“The best news is, our recruitment services are subsidised by the government and therefore come at no cost to employers.”

ETC’s General Manager Training and Business Services Karen Busby said ETC was ramping up its delivery of training and business programs in the Manning to benefit the local community.

“As a Registered Training Organisation we work with local businesses to ensure they have appropriately skilled and up-to-date staff,” Ms Busby said.

“As the 2013 NSW Small Training Provider of the Year, ETC offers a range of accredited training courses from Certificate II to Diploma level in the areas of Retail, Hospitality, Business and Community Services.

“We can customise pre-employment training programs to enable employers to gain exposure to a large pool of suitable applicants and test them out in their business before making a final decision.”

Ms Busby said ETC was also one of the State and Federal Government’s designated provider of advice and support for start-up and small businesses in Taree.

“Our team of experienced Business Advisors offer local businesses planning and practical advice and skills development to help them move their businesses to sustainability and profitability,” Ms Busby said.

ETC’s Taree Operations Manager Billy Unsworth encouraged local businesses to drop into ETC’s new premises at 57-61 Albert Street to meet the ETC team.

“We are here to help people get jobs, fill vacancies for employers, train people to further their careers and help the small business sector,” Mr Unsworth said.
