ETC won the Small Training Provider of the Year Award at the 2013 NSW Training Awards held in Sydney.
ETC’s CEO Michael Close said the award was fantastic recognition for the organisation which trained close to 1500 students last year from training centres located in Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Sydney and the Gold Coast.
“To make a difference in people’s lives through training and skills development is a privilege,” Mr Close said.
“We are thrilled to be recognised as the best in the State for our training services and more importantly helping change the course of people’s lives.
“I would like to congratulate and thank our training staff for their efforts in enabling ETC to achieve this type of recognition.”
ETC’s Training Manager Ingrid Hughes acknowledged the local community for supporting ETC.
“I would like to thank the general public, local businesses and industry for supporting ETC and undertaking our nationally accredited training courses in the areas of Community Services (Aged Care), Hospitality, Business, Retail, Sawmilling and Training and Assessment,” Mrs Hughes said.
“I would also like to thank the students who have chosen to undertake traineeships with us or have enrolled in one of our short courses.
“We are ecstatic to win this award but couldn’t have done it without our local community getting behind us and using our services.”
Mr Close said ETC was now a step closer to winning the National Small Training Provider of the Year Award which will be announced in Perth on 22 November 2013.
