ETC won the Small Training Provider of the Year Award at the 2016 NSW Training Awards held in Sydney on Thursday.
ETC’s General Manager Training and Business Services Karen Busby said the award was fantastic recognition for the organisation which trained close to 2,000 students last year.
“To make a difference in people’s lives through training and skills development is a privilege,” Ms Busby said.
“We are thrilled to be recognised as the best in the State for our training services and more importantly helping to reduce disadvantage in our communities.
“I would like to congratulate and thank all ETC staff for their efforts in enabling us to achieve this type of recognition.”
ETC’s Training Manager Paul Haywood acknowledged the local community for supporting ETC.
“I would like to thank the general public, local businesses and industry for supporting ETC and undertaking our nationally accredited training courses in the areas of Community Services (Aged Care, Disability), Hospitality, Business, Retail, and Training & Assessment,” Mr Haywood said.
“I would also like to thank the students who have chosen to undertake traineeships with us or have enrolled in one of our short courses.
“We are ecstatic to win this award but couldn’t have done it without our local community getting behind us and using our services.”
Ms Busby said ETC was now a step closer to winning the National Small Training Provider of the Year Award which will be announced in Darwin in November.
