Whether you’re a local, or living on the other side of the country – you can have your phone and tablet repaired by SOS Phone Repairs.
Twenty-nine year old business owner, Tom Borg has grown his hobby into a full time shop front in the Coffs CBD.
“We also provide our service Australia-wide through our website and Facebook page”, Mr Borg said.
“Because my price is so competitive, I have people from Newcastle and even Perth sending me their personal items to be repaired”.
Mr Borg started his idea as a hobby from home, but after seeing the huge demand for his service, he decided to turn this into a full-time business. With help from an ETC business course and mentor, his client base has now tripled in size after moving into the shop just five months ago.
“At the moment I’m having to work six days a week, so I’m looking to employ someone to help me out”, Mr Borg comments.
The business is so well known that it has over 6,000 likes on Facebook and is constantly being tagged in online community groups as a preferred provider of this service. Mr Borg hopes to grow his business even more by starting a chain of franchises.
SOS Phone Repairs is located at Cinema Walk Arcade between Harbour Drive & Vernon Street and also sells accessories and assists with data recovery.
Tom’s New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) Facilitator and Mentor Aden Harris was full of praise for his accomplishments.
“It’s exciting to see a small business take off so quickly,” Mr Harris said.
“I’m really proud of his achievements to date and looking forward to following his journey of growth”.
