Hospitality Industry

Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB002)

The unit incorporates the knowledge requirements, under state and territory liquor licensing law, for employees engaged in the sale or service of alcohol. Those selling or serving alcohol may include food and beverage attendants; packaged liquor sales persons selling in person, over the phone or online; winery, brewery and distillery cellar door staff; and supplier sales representatives. The unit also applies to security staff who monitor customer behaviour and to the licensee who is ultimately responsible for responsible service of alcohol (RSA) management.


Provide Responsible Gambling Services (SITHGAM001)

Responsible gambling services must be provided wherever gambling activities are undertaken. In the hospitality industry, the gambling environment is usually referred to as the gaming area and is provided in a range of venues such as hotels, motels, clubs, pubs and casinos. The responsible provision of gambling services is an essential underpinning skill for all hospitality personnel involved in the sale and service of gambling activities in licensed premises.


Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA001)

Develop the skills and knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-born illnesses. This course applies to all organisations with permanent or temporary kitchen premises or smaller food preparation or bar areas.


Get Set for Hospitality

ETC’s Get Set for Hospitality course will provide you with qualifications in RSA, RCG, Food Safety, Customer Service and/or Serving Coffee. Learn the skills to secure a great job in the Hospitality industry with this four-day or five-day course.


Caring Industry

Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)

This training will allow you to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Learn how to respond to an emergency situation, apply appropriate first aid procedures, communicate details of the incident, evaluate the incident and own performance.


Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set (CHCSS00070)

This course is for people working in various care and support roles in the community services industry who wish to develop skills in supporting people to self-administer medication. You must hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in an area involving provision of direct client care or support.


Entry into Care Roles Skill Set (CHCSS00114) – Intro2Care

This course is for individuals who use introductory care practices to support fully qualified carers within an aged care or disability support environment. Candidates who complete this skill set would be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to undertake job tasks to support fully qualified carers, such as making beds, providing assistance to maintain a clean environment and communicating with carers as part of the support service.


Induction to Disability (CHCSS00081)

This course reflects the skill requirements for supporting people with disability. It provides a set of skills to support the induction of new workers into a variety of roles supporting people with disability.
